Renato Araújo


Specialist in African art, he graduated in philosophy from the University of São Paulo (USP), co-founder of the arsmundum project, currently working in São Paulo as a consultant and curator in African art for the Ivani and Jorge Yunes Collection. He served as an educator, coordinator and researcher at institutions such as Banco do Brazil Cultural Center, Porto Seguro Photography Center, Afro Brazil Museum, among others. He is the author of the books: "Afro-Brazilian Art: ups and downs of a Concept"; "Themes of African Art", "The Other Africa: work and Religiosity" and, among other titles, he is the author of the catalog and curator of the exhibition "Africa: mother of all of us", on display at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba.
