Theme of the third edition Brazil Jewellery Week:

OS Hybrid, Mestizo and Latino Bodies

BODIES – BODY  RELATED OBJECTS – JEWELLERY 

Brazil Jewelry Week third edition – Aim to think and work about  plurality, multiplicity, diversity and encourage us to think about patterns, ideas and positions in our latino culture.

We want to see, think about different artistic expressions, talk and discuss about the meanings of the forms, the feelings, thoughts and emotions  encapsulated in materials, the origins imprinted in our bodies, the criticisms around the history, the questions, the speeches, the plots.

OS – Bodies, Historical bodies, Ancestral bodies, Ephemeral bodies, Political bodies, Restless bodies, Bodies as a language, Bodies as theory, Body as protest, Bodies subjected to themselves, artistic personalities in the form of jewel art.

BRAZIL JEWELRY WEEK

3nd EDITION

"THE HYBRID, MIXED AND LATIN BODIES "

Based on the ability to transmit sensations through jewelry, we invite everyone to participate in the third edition of Brazil Jewelry Week.

Under the selection of Jorge Manilla, Titi Berrio and Renato Aráujo, the next edition will have as theme “OS-CORPOS, HIBRIDOS, MESTIÇOS, LATINOS”, focused on relationship between body and jewelry.

JEWELERS AREA

Celebrating together Brazil Jewelry Week, this event will allow us to visualize different expressions of Art Jewelry in Latin America and build new ties of cooperation and artistic collaboration.

 The interaction/exchange between jewelers and the public will be closer and wider thanks to the digital format. In this third edition, professionals will have their own pages to display up to five pieces, putting every jeweler in the spotlight. The page will also be able to host audiovisual content about backstage, the rituals of creative processes that tell the story behind the works.

This individual space will also provide contact information so that consumers audience / public can establish a relationship with their favorite artists, creating a bond and loyalty

On the third edition of Brazil Jewellery Week there will also be a special space for schools /galleries/collectives, with stories, images, videos, and contact details.

We believe that the pandemic has created an opportunity for us to connect differently, but in a way that was already part of our everyday lives.

Despite the absence of physical contact, the Internet allows us to interact with more people, more immediately, expanding the reach of knowledge and diversity.
