Fourth Edition Committee
The Brazil Jewelry Week Committee was set up for the fourth edition of the event to assist in the construction, promotion, and development of contemporary Latin jewelry. It assists in the formation of thought about artistic jewelry on Latin soil.

founder
Chrissie Barban - Brazil
"The fourth edition of the Brazil Jewelry Week presents the Free Body as a Book (o Corpo Livro e Livre), telling the story in us - an immersive experience, back to the physical and online, at the Mário de Andrade Library in the heart of São Paulo, to present, discuss and reflect on artistic jewelry. The committee includes jewelers from different countries in Latin America, joining forces in the creation and execution of the event. Together we write the story of the contemporary Latin jewelry!"

Ambassador
Jorge Manilla - Mexico
"In recent years as a professional artist, teacher and researcher, questions arose about the Latin identity in the field of artistic jewelry. Today, being such hybrid cultures, what can we say to the world as Latinos, what do we communicate, how we express it, and represent it? What is our relationship to, use and reinterpretation of ancestral cultures? You have to create to communicate, create with commitment, emotion and intelligence. The Latin American voice intrigues me. I want to see how we materialize the beliefs of our ancestors with the flavors of the present."

counselor
Ana Calbucci - Brazil
"This edition is an invitation to a simultaneously in-person and virtual event with exhibitions, a show, a symposium, and discussions to express our similarities and all our differences and diversity as distinct localities, having in common the artistic language of our jewelry as a tool. It is an invitation to together form a huge family of perceptions with which, through a synergistic frequency, we can pollinate the path to new knowledge and processes."

counselor
Carmen Tapia - Mexico
"Brazil Jewelry Week is a project with solid foundations. It is built from reflective knowledge, with a broad view of the problems and proposals of the jewelry produced in Latin America, showing and supporting its difference and originality. But it also questions it and confront it with international production. I believe BJW will be an important chapter in the history of contemporary jewelry. It is Latin American, its history is alive and in formulation. This committee is a great commitment for me, which I take on with joy to work together with people capable of taking risks, of venturing to build the future."

counselor
Roxana Casale - Argentina
"Brazil Jewel Week is not just an exhibition space. It is a proposal for committed thinking that generates enriching discussions, shares knowledge, and generates links of communication and visibility between artists in Latin America. Common objectives, challenges and constant movement is the proposal offered with each new edition of BJW."

"The fourth BJW is an instance of encounter and knowledge among jewelers and the public, an exchange of knowledge that generates debate and reflection on contemporary jewelry, dialogue and discovering where jewelers are going, in addition to giving us a chance to meet the public, whether viewers or collectors of artistic jewelry."
